Campaign link privacy

When you visit one of our short campaign links, such as /s/vfp, we count the visit to understand which handouts and events bring people to our website.

The campaign feature does not set a tracking cookie or save your raw IP address, browser details, referrer, or query string. It uses your network address and browser information to calculate a keyed, campaign-specific code for estimating repeat visits. These codes are deleted after 90 days without an accepted visit; anonymous daily counts remain. This is an estimate, not an identification of you.

Known bots, link previews and rapid repeat requests are filtered. Short links redirect to the campaign’s current destination, which may be an external website with its own privacy practices.

The homepage separately uses Google Analytics. Hosting providers and web servers may also process request logs. The campaign feature’s retention rules do not control those separate systems.
