About Grumpy Vet
Central Texas roots. Military veteran. Former cop. A lifetime of figuring things out the hands-on way.

Born in a rural dairy and ranching town in Central Texas, Grumpy Vet brings a small-town perspective to a life spent in military service, law enforcement, technology, and hands-on work.
He served nine years in the Army National Guard as a 19K Armor Crewman and three years in the Navy Reserves as an Information Systems Technician (IT). He’s also a former police officer. Most of his adult career has been spent in technology, solving problems and keeping systems working.
Mechanical work, repairs, and hands-on projects have always been part of the picture. Sometimes they’ve provided extra income; sometimes they’ve started with curiosity and a desire to learn. Figuring out how something works, finding what went wrong, and getting it working again are interests that carry from the keyboard to the garage.
Still based in Texas, Grumpy Vet shares what he learns with plain talk, practical detail, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. Whether the subject is technology, tools, repairs, or veteran life, the rule is the same: if advice isn’t useful in real life, it isn’t useful.
